  1. The Last Hour by Charles Sheehan-Miles was like riding a tilt-a-whirl in every way imaginable. I finished it over a week ago and I still am thinking about it. The emotions it provoked in me were so intense and the ending was the definition of bitter sweet endings. It was such a haunting and beautiful story and I'm now telling everyone I know they need to read it. One minute I was so happy with what was going on between Carrie and Ray, the two main characters, and so full of love. The next minute I was crying and wishing I could help them some how. I repeat, an emotional tilt-a-whirl.

  2. The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa, well let's just say, when did the story slow down? From the very beginning it was a BANG and it just didn't stop! It was heart thumping as you go through all the trials and problems that Allison had to undergo in her world.

Wolf and Scarlet's relationship had a ton of ups and downs when new secrets kept being unraveled. It was fantastic tilt a whirl worthy read :)

  6. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein is a YA historical fiction set in WWII. It's about two best friends, and the mc is a Scottish spy who's been caught by the Germans. She's going to spill everything she knows about the British war effort to them... and she does it by writing about Maddie. It's absolutely mind-blowingly intense and you will never guess the ending!

  11. I think the last book that really had a twist that I wasn't ready for was when I read 17 & Gone. I was so confused throughout the entire book, trying to figure out what exactly was going on, and once I got to the end and this twist was revealed the pieces started clicking in place and I appreciated the story so much more. It's crazy sometimes how the twist can make or break a story.

  13. The last book I read that made me feel like I was on a Tilt-A-Whirl would definitely have to be A Dance with Dragons. There were so many things that happened that left my heart beat quicken and make me want to sling my book. There were people dying, people being betrayed, people I hate getting shamed. It was just great! It is a series worth reading. Thank you for this amazing giveaway!!

  24. Definitely The Darkest Minds by A. Bracken and Shadowlands by Kate Brian. The Darkest Minds was perfect because we got clues throughout, enough to make it believable, but it was something we'd never think was possible. Shadowlands because the whole concept of the book happened at the very end and it changed everything:))

  26. The darkest minds by Alexandra Bracken I loved this book because of the twists and turns. You couldn't rust anyone and some people were bad without even meaning to be. The main character was also perfect but not in a unrealistic was. She had her fears and concerns and they made her do the wrong things at times but for the most important decisions she thought about what was best for others. The plot was also very enjoyable to me.

  45. The last one I read that made me go all "SDKJFSDKFAKJSJF" that's me spazzing by the way, was Cadet of Tildor by Alex Lidell.

I start off hating the main man. And loving the best friend.
Then I hate the best friend. Love the little boy (another character), kind of meh towards the main man.
Then I hate the headmaster, hate the bestfriend, hate the main man, and want to cuddle the little boy.
Then I hate the best friend, love the main man, and still want the little boy to cuddle.
FINALLY I come to terms with the best friend is just a jerk but he cannot help it, the main man is a jerk, but it is sexy on him. The headmaster was just doing what he had to, and the little boy...well I just want to cuddle him some more.

    SEE ITS SO COMPLICATED!

  47. The last book I read that was crazy was Genesis by Bernard Beckett. It is an amazing book and the end blew me away. I am going to copy the description so I don't give anything away:
Anax thinks she knows history. Her grueling all-day Examination has just begun, and if she passes, she’ll be admitted into the Academy—the elite governing institution of her utopian society. But Anax is about to discover that for all her learning, the history she’s been taught isn’t the whole story. And the Academy isn’t what she believes it to be. In this brilliant novel of dazzling ingenuity, Anax’s examination leads us into a future where we are confronted with unresolved questions raised by science and philosophy. Centuries old, these questions have gained new urgency in the face of rapidly developing technology. What is consciousness? What makes us human? If artificial intelligence were developed to a high enough capability, what special status could humanity still claim

  97. The last book I read that left my wind in a twirl was Parallel by Lauren Miller. With all the different parallel worlds coming into play it leaves you mind spinning and it is an amazing book!!! The last book to leave me breathless would have to be Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. It was so amazing and epic I can't really describe in words how much I loved that book!!!

  98. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein would be my pick~ The book took place during world war two, about two friends, a spy and a pilot and their friendship. They were separated, one was captured, and both don't know if the other is alive... It was suspenseful until almost the end... It was a really good book, and had my mind going around in circles~

  99. I just finished The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa and completely and utterly blew me away. It was all twisty and turny, a little predictably but so amazingly written that I didn't even care! Just like the first book I was sucked in from the first page and the story never slowed down, *sigh* I loved it.

  100. On Thin Ice by Linda Hall. It is a love inspired mystery suspense and i was completely sucked in it from the first page the mystery of the murders and the reason of the broken marriage of the lead was amazing i was sad for the lead pair because though they have love for each other still they are apart and whenever they were together it made me jump with excitement that they are working together on the mystery

  101. "Beautiful Darkness" by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. At times it was a bit slow, but it had twists I didn't see coming :D I want to read the next two, but I have a long TBR list.

  102. I felt like that with One Day by David Nicholls. I loved the changes in the relationship between the two main characters over time. And of course the ending was the most emotional part of it all but I don't want to say anything since not everyone has read this book yet

  104. Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead, it's the last in the Vampire Academy seires, and for me it was an emotional roller coaster. I literally at some points had to stop and put the book down to think about my own emotions.

  105. The last book that made my head spin was Splintered. It's an amazing reteller of Alice in Wonderland, but this Wonderland isn't full of ... wonders. It has something darker, something that turns your blood both in ice and fire

  109. There have been 2 recently that blew me away, made my jaw drop, and the tears flow. The first one is If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch. There is not much that I can say, really. The whole book was incredible emotional, stressful, painful. HOPEFUL. But that ending? I almost threw up, the pain that I felt was so strong. This is not a book to be missed. But be prepared!
The second book is Dark Triumph. You've read it, you get it! The life that Sybella lead, d'Albret, her brothers. What that girl went through. And then when she remembered and told Beast (the AMAZING, wonderful, perfect Beast) her story, I could hardly breathe, and I was so dang angry. There have been several books that have gotten me this year, but those two definitely stand out!

  110. Sweet Peril made me feel that way because you didn't know Kaidan's feelings. I don't want to get into detail and have any spoilers but it was a back and forth thing. Thanks!

  114. Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. It's the first book in which Hannibal Lecter appears, so I was prepared for a harrowing read, but it was so much more than that. It left me breathless by sheer narrative power.
